Hi, I’m Morgan.

I’m a National Board Certified Teacher, special education educator, and creator of Making Sense of National Board Certification. During my 22 years in education—including 14 years teaching middle school mathematics—I have supported students with a wide range of strengths, learning needs, and disabilities.

When I completed the National Board process, I understood why so many accomplished teachers feel overwhelmed by it. The directions are complex, the expectations are demanding, and candidates are often unsure whether they are selecting the right evidence or providing enough analysis.

I created Making Sense of National Board Certification to make the process feel clearer and more manageable. My resources help candidates unpack the directions, organize their evidence, examine their instructional decisions, and communicate their thinking in their own professional voices.

I believe National Board candidates do not need someone to write their submissions for them. They need practical tools, clear explanations, and structured support that help them recognize the accomplished teaching already happening in their classrooms.

My goal is simple: to help you move from feeling overwhelmed and uncertain to feeling organized, confident, and ready to tell the story of your teaching.
